somebody set the doomsday clock to 60 seconds

failure to handle the pandemic in specific countries, like the US.

while the coronavirus pandemic is not a man-made event, certain countries have been unable/did not care to handle an outbreak very well.

due to the virus' high spread rate, lack of available cure/vaccine, slow and often-lackluster cure/vaccine development and potentially fatal outcome, this is a rationale to further reduce the clock (down to 60 seconds).

as an example, out of the top 10 countries with most cases, the fatality rate is as follows:

(note: in this chart, fatality rate = deaths/(recoveries+deaths)*100%. using the amount of cases to determine fatality rate (everyone does this) is wrong in my opinion.)

how come germany is so much better than the US at handling this? why couldn't they do something better?!
I mean 30%+ fatality rate looks like a joke and really taints the image of a country...

...actually, this chart was worse in the past, with the US and France reaching over 70% fatality rates!

...i guess i should start a little project of an automated chart while at it...

and for the UK: they don't want to tell you who recovers and who doesn't, assuming "if you get infected, you will never recover! muwahaha!"
how evil!

...

...sorry... wasn't I talking about the doomsday clock?
